Workplace Injuries

workplace injury

If you have been injured while on the job, you are not alone. According to the National Census Of Fatal Occupational Injuries, some 4 million workers suffered occupational injuries or illnesses in 2007. Tragically, in the same year, there were 5,488 fatal work injuries recorded in the United States. In Kentucky there were more than 38,000 work injuries in 2007; 259 workers were killed in 2006 and 2007 combined.

These statistics are overwhelming when you consider that every employer must maintain certain standards of safety in the workplace as mandated by the U.S. government. What can be more overwhelming, however, is how to cope after a workplace injury or death.
