The Hazards of Air Travel
According to preliminary figures released by The National Transportation Safety Board, 1,722 U.S. civil aviation accidents occurred in 2007, which resulted in 535 deaths. A number of U.S. federal aviation agencies work to establish and enforce essential safety standards for airplanes (including airplane manufacturing), flight operation, and the behavior of pilots, but accidents still occur. Statistically and historically, more than half of all aviation accidents are due to pilot negligence or other human error.
Wrongful Death
Losing a loved one suddenly and tragically in an aircraft accident can be a shocking, devastating event to anyone. Hance & Srinivasan works to help families receive compensation for wrongful death due to aviation accidents that allow survivors to start putting their lives back together. We are experienced in helping secure compensation in wrongful death cases that included:
- commercial jet disasters
- private plane crashes
- helicopter mishaps.
All aviation accidents are investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration, which works to reconstruct the aircraft and determine the accident’s cause. If the cause of an aircraft accident can be attributed to someone, then that person or company can be held liable to the families of the victims.
At Hance & Srinivasan, we understand that the rules and regulations that apply to commercial plane, private plane, and military plane accidents are all quite different. These types of cases require an attorney who is qualified and experienced. Hance & Srinivasan can help if your case involves:
- defective replacement parts
- pilot negligence
- air traffic controller error
- negligent maintenance
- failure to follow safety procedures
If you have been injured or a family member has been killed in a plane crash or other aviation accident, we want to work for the compensation you need to put your life back together
